Volunteer with the Cumberland County Democratic Committee!
CCDC is a grassroots organization totally fueled by volunteers. We are the party of everyday people and need volunteers for big and small jobs in every corner of Cumberland County. Winning elections in our area is not easy. The more volunteers we have, the better results we will see at the local, state and federal level. We need volunteers for everything from organizing events to knocking doors, proofreading and building maintenance. Our big tent party has so many incredible opportunities and we invite you to be a part of our team. The way we win is by organizing. The place we start is right here. Let’s change the world!

Paulette and Russ Matthews
Meet a Volunteer Team
Paulette and Russ Matthews, long-time residents of Mechanicsburg, attended a candidate
meet and greet for Democrat Sara Agerton running for Borough Council in 2019. Sara was
a first-time candidate that believed that some good changes could be made in the borough.
Paulette and Russ agreed and jumped right in to help the only Democrat on the ballot in
Mechanicsburg win the election. Russ and Paulette talked to their neighbors about their
community, the traffic, the parks and the schools, encouraging people to get to the polls to vote.
They became members of the Cumberland County Democratic Committee, serving as Precinct
Committee Persons in Mechanicsburg Precinct 2-2 and have been members of the Upper Allen
Mechanicsburg Democratic Club. Both have also helped with special community events as representatives of the Cumberland County Democratic Committee.
Paulette is serving as treasurer for the Mechanicsburg Municipal Authority and in 2022 began serving as Majority Inspector of Elections for Mechanicsburg Precinct 2-2. She also has served as treasurer for the Friends of Sara Agerton PAC in 2022.
Russ and Paulette continue to enjoy working with committed Democrats who are willing to put in
the time to make good things happen in our communities and our nation.
