2025 MUNICIPAL PRIMARY ELECTION

Register of Wills: David J. Fish

My name is David Fish and I’m asking for help from my fellow democrats to fix a looming problem with the upcoming November general election. We have many offices without a Democratic candidate. That cannot be allowed to stand. We cannot ask Democratic voters to show up to vote if we do not have good, honest, fact-based, patriotic Democratic candidates on the ballot. Read more on Facebook.

Brian J. Sanker

Brian J. SankerBrian Sanker is running for re-election as School Board Director for Mechanicsburg Area School District – Region 1, a position he was appointed to in spring 2017 and elected to that November. He currently serves as School Board Vice President and Chairperson of the Finance and Facilities Committee. Brian also represents the district on the Joint Operating Committee of the Cumberland-Perry Area Vocational Technical School, where he is Chairperson of the Buildings and Grounds Committee. His work on both boards has given him valuable insight into the diverse needs of students from kindergarten through graduation and beyond.

A lifelong Wildcat, Brian grew up in Upper Allen Township and graduated from Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School. He earned a B.S. in Operations and Information Systems Management from Penn State and now works as a financial advisor serving local governments and school districts across the country.

Brian and his wife are proud to be raising the next generation of Wildcats, with a daughter entering seventh grade this fall and a son starting fourth grade.

Mechanicsburg School Board (Upper Allen Precincts 1,2,3,9 & 10):
Deborah Kearns

Originally from Philadelphia, Deborah has called Mechanicsburg home since 1995 — and proudly raised a family of Wildcats. Today, her granddaughter Adeline is in first grade at Broad Street Elementary, Class of 2036 — and she, along with her little brother Benjamin, inspire her to run for the Mechanicsburg School Board.

Deborah wants all our district’s children to enjoy what her kids had: an excellent education, opportunities to thrive in and out of the classroom, and a supportive school community. As a School Social Worker at Steele Elementary in Harrisburg, Deborah understands the challenges growing districts face and the importance of meeting every student’s needs.

Her goal is to keep Mechanicsburg schools safe, inclusive, and focused on students, not politics.

Mechanicsburg School Board Region 2
Morgan Strehlow

Morgan Strehlow is a literary agent and mother to a first grader at Shepherdstown Elementary. She is running for Mechanicsburg Area School Board Director, Region 2, because she believes that student dignity and access to educational opportunity should not be partisan, nor should they be political. Our children should not be pawns in our culture wars. When Morgan sends her autistic child to school, she wants the same thing every parent and caregiver wants for their child: for him to feel safe and for him to get the knowledge and skills he’ll need to be successful in life. Morgan is committed to being a voice for the common good and inclusion in MASD.
